Hi everyone,

We are in Melbourne at the moment. The temperature is currently 38 degrees at 6.30pm at night!! We have been sightseeing around the city and doing a bit of shopping. There are a lot of sights here that have come from England such as St. Pauls Cathedral. There is a place here called Wembley and Windsor and on the West coast of Oz, there is even a place called Northampton!! We went to the beach about 5kms away yesterday which is so beautiful that we have booked a hostel to stay there for a week from Monday. We have been visiting botanical gardens and the other day we went around a war memorial which was very interesting. We are maybe thinking of going to the zoo tomorrow if it's not too hot. We have been to the casino a few times. The 1st night we came out 5GBP down and last night came about about 20GBP up so all in all not too bad but also not making stupid bets. Melbourne is a very cool city but not as big as London which I thought it was.

A friend we met in Perth has joined us in our hostel for the last few days but got eaten alive by bedbugs. We also had a very strange man staying in our room for the last two nights who smashed a window in the toilets and was screaming - right weirdo but thankfully he has checked out today and we haven't had to deal with him much.
