Awoken by cock-a-doodle-dooing at 4 am we try and get some more z's - no luck as the cockerels crow every 10 seconds for the next 2 hours!!!!! We reach the Sunflower Cafe the starting point for our trek at 8.30 am a bit flustered as we woke up rather late; jet lag who needs it! The cafe is a hive of activity with small pick-up trucks being loaded with food, water and all other essentials for the trek.
