After crossing the border to Zambia from Botswana which was quite an experince in itself -a ferry crossing but extremely unorganised and about a half hour drive into Livingstone the capital of Zambia and the nearest town we entered Victoria Falls. The falls themselves were absolutely stunning, the noise and spray was absolutely amazing and well worth the travel to get to them. The size of the falls is imense!
We spent two days in Livingstone, first day was just spent at the falls after the drive, the second Meredith and I went to the market in Livingstone which was an experience - especially agreeing a price with one stall and then being told we had ripped him off! Everything was extremely cheap! Dave and Tom went to Angel's Pool at the falls. The pool is right at the top of the falls where you can swim safely on the waterfall, the walk across was obvioulsly the most scary part - Dave came back after falling over with a large graze on his back but they both had an awesome time!
We upgraded in Livingstone - in the best room ever! Most definatley worth paying for even though Dave did wake up in the night thinking monkeys were in the room after they had gripped onto Merediths leg earlier in the day.
