After a decent night's sleep, we were ready to do a bit of exploring in Grenoble. First up though, find a place for a coffee fix. Bearing in mind our past experiences with the quality of coffee in France, we approached this quest with some trepidation - do the French still make the worst coffee in Europe? Or have they finally learnt the art of espressing coffee? Sadly it is the former. We were loathe to leave the spoon in the mixture in case it dissolved. Ah well...

Finally made it to Geneva at 0630 in the morning (36 hours after leaving Townsville). We were both pretty well exhausted, and we still had a two hour drive to Grenoble. We rang the Citroen Rep in Geneva (Mr Ivanov) to arrange being picked up from the airport. Surprisingly, he was at the airport when he said he would be, at the place we were told to wait. We assumed that the directions would have been lost in translation (as they often are). So, after a 10min wait...

Up at 4.30am, a quick breakfast (coffee), last minute checks to make sure we had everything, then off to the airport to start our trip. The omens are present for a good trip - the flight from Townsville left 10 minutes early, arrived in Brisbane on time, departed Brisbane on time and landed in Sydney on time (must be a record for Australian airports). Flew into Paris yesterday from Dublin. We've booked into the Novotel hotel which is located right at the airport, with a Paris train station right below. Unfortunately the train wasn't in operation due to terminal renovations going on. so after we checked into the hotel, we caught the Roissy Bus into Paris. What a horrible bus trip. Back to Dublin again. Just going to spend a couple of days exploring some more of the city. In particular we want to visit St Patrick's Cathedral. We have really warmed to Dublin. It is everything you would expect - vibrant, cosmopolitan, quirky, home of good beer, a pub culture which puts our sterile environments we call hotels to shame. If we ever get the chance, we'll be returning in the future.
