Finally arrived in Athens. What a welcome sight. Disembarked from aircraft, collected luggage, negotiated passport control, went thru customs check (non existent) and caught a taxi - all in under 20 minutes, must be a record for an international airport. Finally got to our hotel, The Plaka, only to find our room was unavailable due to damage cased by a school group (schoolies here too???). However, the desk manager had arranged an alternate booking at their siste...

Well here we are in Dubai, after a long 14hour flight. A word of warning - don't let anyone tell you that the Airbus' are more comfortable, they're not!!!. Sore back, sore legs etc etc. Oh well, that's the worst part of the trip over. Just another 5 hours to Athens and then the trip can begin properly.

Arrived Brisbane, waiting in Brisbane. Already sick of airports!!! 19 hours to go.
