Thank you for the information about the toucan. It is a great weight off my mind, as you can imagine. It sounds as if you are having a very dull time. When are things going to get interesting? I suppose there's nothing much to do now until the bunjy jump (don't wear flip flops, by the way, unless you want more of an adventure than you bargained for). I'm competing with your exciting travels by taking your grandma to Minehead for a week. We are going to Sing-a-long-a-the-Sound-of-Music. Beat that if you can! I don't think I'll be able to entice her into Butlins, but I'll do my best. Bingo, anyone?
Lots of love

Dangerous Dave...BE GOOD!!! See you in Argentina. As always the beers are on you!
One Love...And remember Be Good!

Daveeeeed!!! bonjour sir, just in case you're sad or feeling homesick, Samwell and Danwell and I were thrust into the heady heights of what is Tonbridgian merriment, with a night in JDs and the Sausage last week...my God...rest assured, you're not missing much my dear - although of course we're missing you...ahhhhhhhhhhhh.
I'm enjoying watching you get steadily darker, well done!
Take care, enjoy enjoy!! a x x x
The Traveller Himself
Hello! Wow, what a site. Best on the internet. Except hotornot.com. On which, both Dan and Sam have their photos. Hahaha. So thought I'd reply to a few messages...or just one. The toucan. I wish there was a lengthy explanation, as much as I'm sure all of you do. But alas. The toucan was wet because it got caught in the rain, and was subsequently sheltering under a chair. It lived in the hostel...or in the courtyard within the hostel, and I named it Ted. Ted the Toucan. That's all. Sorry. Tasha...I will send you a postcard soon. Happy Mother's day for all mothers too...I think it's soon! xxx
oh...ps - apologies once more for the map thing on the home page - it's not my fault, I swear, that the marker refuses to blink over Buenos Aires. You will have to imagine for yourselves. Well done people, well done.

No no you did hear the cries - from meeeeeee! i empathise as i boomeranged back to the beautiful city too! rock on for free copacabana loving!!!!
Also kind of maddening knowing you're in Buenos Aires when I just left there...grr...and even worse being able to imagine you there now I know what it looks like! Conyoooo...well, disfruta to the power of 100, and I'll send another howl of pain when you do leave the beautiful continent...siiigh!!!!!!!!! Brazil is like another continent...increible.
Ciao! Besos!

Look, you can't show us pictures of a wet toucan and not explain. Apart from anything else, it confuses your grandma.......
Loving the descriptions, otherwise

Still loving the entries Daveeeed.
Still wish I was out there with you too!
Still missing your @ss. Not your literal bottom...tho' i'm sure it is of prize-winning caliber. It's just another of those expressions.
A word of advice:
Never travel to Paris to watch England play France at rugby. You may leave extremely disappointed...and somewhat embarrassed. Oh, and very, very cold! Not sure if the news of our battering has reached your warm shores, but it wouldn't surprise me if it had. My first live game. Chuh. Still...on a brighter note, the staium was immense (maybe not as large as urs tho), and the return to Paree was welcomed and greatly enjoyed! Spontaneous adventures rule! To Hamburg this w/e for a spot of St Patrick's Day celebrations...German stylee!
Lots of love to you and the Farid-one

Hmm, a message board. Hello there!
Dave I'm so green with envy about your South American exploits - it really looks like you've travelled like a proper nomad out there, and your photos make it look like the world is your party.
Quick update: things are good at Warwick, England is damn cold, South Africa are in a tense cricket series struggle against Australia, I'm coordinating One World Week next year, I'm teaching in a school in Solihull, and my students in Jack Martin have been well-behaved (but a couple got their asses fined the other day for being b******s....hehe).
I spent 2 and a half hours on your site the other day looking at photos - awesome stuff. I wish you all the best of Irish luck for the rest of your trip.... may the road rise to meet your feet.
And hi to all the other ex-Warwick crew. You are sorely missed but never forgotten.

Dear David. I was perusing your photos when I happened to come across a picture of you wearing a yellow basketball vest. I hope the two of you will be very happy together. Yours regretfully, Boon ;)

We loved your latest news - especially the giant anteaters - Im SO envious. You write really well, I think. Have you considered sending off some copy to be published somewhere (yes, I AM being serious)?
You may have heard we've had some adventures of our own - but it's all calming down now - Graham came home today from a week's stay in hospital, starting in resus and intensive care. Thanks to Casualty I recognised most of the words and prcedures!
(though I'm not SURE that's a good thing!) I knew he was getting better when he stopped being grateful and started being irritated by the vagaries of hospital life!

Sorry to hear it's going so badly. Hope you start being able to enjoy yourself soon. By the way, it's capybara. Capybara.com
