For the past week we have been staying with the lovely Lorenzo family. Mum (Andrea), Dad (Lorenzo), Francisco (12), Elena (10) and another Lorezo - or "Lenchito" (5). So we left our nice mountain top home of Lanquin and jumped in a bus to commence yet another 9 hour bus journey, heading further south to the small town of Antigua. Today we walked into Lanquin Village to attempt to procure a ride to a place called Semuc Champney. After some wandering around and some negitiations we got a lift in a pick up to our destination, on route we scrambled along narrow loose stone roads with steep cliff drops on the side (with not barriers of course) When we arrived we hiked up a steep hill to be rewarded with the amazing view as shown in the photo. After a 9 hour, terrifying bus ride, we finally arrived in Lanquin, a beautiful mountain village. Even for a Guatemalan driver, this guy was a psycho.
