Emily gets attacked by big Maya snake! But luckly Dave was there to thwart the snake with a skillful game of ´paper, scissors, stone´ but because the snake is permanently stone it was an easy win.

Went to Chichen Itza today, a long 3 hour bus drive to the most famous of all Maya sites.....however the most famous does not mean the best. It was the least impressive of all we have seen so far, not so much the ruins themselves but the decision by someone to turn this historic site into a themepark.

Was basically a market with some runis in, and very very busy with lots and lots tourists. I think we were spoilt by the first two sites (Edzna and Uxmal) as they were very quiet and left just as ruins.

However it was worth going to, and was generally a good day, best bit was emly and snake fight.

Water is becoming our best friend, dehydration is not our friend.

Still mega hot, still awesome but are now keen to move east to the coastal islands......
