Today we walked into Lanquin Village to attempt to procure a ride to a place called Semuc Champney.
After some wandering around and some negitiations we got a lift in a pick up to our destination, on route we scrambled along narrow loose stone roads with steep cliff drops on the side (with not barriers of course)
When we arrived we hiked up a steep hill to be rewarded with the amazing view as shown in the photo. Semuc Champney consists of a 300 meter limestone 'bridge' where the river runs below, but above small amounts of water trickle along to create beautiful pools.
So of course we jumped in and enjoyed the cool waters surrounded by paradise like surroundings. One surprise was that the pools were full of those fish that like to eat the dead skin of your feet. You pay good money for that in the UK! Dave rather enjoyed the free cleaning service by the fish, however Emily found it very ticklish so had to keep moving to avoid them.
After some nice swimming and fish interaction we found a ride home, got back to our nice hostel for some great food and a Gallo of two.....
