Oh my god, what a hard life this is... So today I got up for breakfast, fell asleep in a hammock, went for another snorkel although i didn't get very far due to the huge cuts on the back of my feet (definatley couldn't wear flippers again). Then lazed around in a hammock for a while, slept a little, went for a walk along the beach, then had lunc, then until dinner time I did absolutely nothing except lay in that hammock reading and writing. I am really enjoying this life! (sorry if that pisses any of you hard workers at home off!). It is simply paradise here. Lee and I did have a great game of cards, where the sarcasm became very quickly. Shes a great girl, true comedian at heart! Shes the one I call Aussie. We organized a trip to the hosts village as well for the next day, something I was really looking forward to. Tom and I have also become quite close, he's a real sound guy, and very happy to be where he is! I like people with positive attitudes. Another bombfire and huge appreciation to Larry, the man! for a second night, and didn't get boring at all. Stars, Alcohol, some great banter, a great singer, how could life be any better? Well I can tell you I wish Katie were here, thats for sure!
However we did have a romance on the island, yes Frenchy the little temptress, was flirting with all the Fijian boys including the bar tender who we accurately named Kobe, for his 7ft height! And I believe got with a Samoan in the end... she was hilarious and a very cool girl.
T he next day was the highlight, we got to go see Happy's (thats his name) home village. We had a Cava ceremony which I was the chief (Cava is the drink of Fiji). and a little market was set up for us, followed by a visit to the local school. The kids were fantastic, singing and playing for us, telling us stories and poems, at the risk of sounding like a girl it was really cute. Got some great pictures, and a few gifts as well. It was a really heart warming morning, and the kids were brilliant. Charlotte befriended on who wanted to marry her, shes a lot of fun too. Really a great great time and I was very sad to leave White Sandy Beach, as it had felt like Tom and I's home away from home. This is a place I couldn't recommend highly enough, a true paradise, that the staff made even better.
Tom and I had become so close with the locals they sung us off as we left a special rendition of Westlife! And since we had had such a good time we decided to stick together for the rest of Fiji.
