Ok so we had 3 days in Bangkok... went to the massive market there, called chatchuchak or something like that! bought loads of little bargains and pressies (well Nos did most of the buying- i window shopped!)

went to see the new batman film in the imax cinema- amazing!! and we also saw a "show" too...interesting!!! also bumped into people we met in laos so was great to catch up with them.

Hong Kong was next- great place and loads of things to see. Unfortunately a typhoon passed very close by and the place went on lockdown- funnily enough the same morning that we were supposed to pick up our visas for china- made things a little interesting!!

all worked out ok in the end though- picked up our visas and boarded the 24 hr train into Beijing. interesting journey as you literally just have a bed with no room to even sit up! and we had to share a room with quite possibly the loudest chinese people ever, who decided to stay up 'till 2am talking, or should i say shouting, at each other!!

anyway- finally in beijing now for the last leg of our trip. picked up our tickets today for athletics on friday,so should be a good end to the journey. for those at TSE i met up with Carrie last night to watch the opening ceremony on big screens in a local park here. Had a great night with Ben and her friends and made the most of the very cheap beer!

Home in a week now!!! can't believe how quick its all gone!! see you all very soon!
