SIAM REAP
I am a bit behind on this Blog so I do appologise, just to busy doing other better things but will try to keep it up-to-date now for the Parents and be more aspiring in what I right `haha.
Ok where do I start....travelled from Phnom Pehn with Brad which was a really uncomfortable journey for 5 hours but I really liked Siam Reap. The place was really modern, clean, loads of really nice restaraunts, Bars, Clubs etc so the night time was really fun.
We arranged to meet with Sheila & Kirsten on the first night & we also bumped into Melony & Sarah & a few other guys down bar Street so had many Cocktails, shooted some pool action then asked a few local guys where there best Club was so we went there. It was pretty funky but pretty hard techno music & we got told I was not allowed to dance anywhere but the dancefloor & not allowed to take any pics inside which was strange. We were the only people in there except the locals so we got a few funny looks but this place was bouncing . The music was too hard so Shelia went to the DJ box & told him to slow it down then he played love songs so we left to go to another club where we had a messy but fun night.
The main attractions at Siam Reap is the Angkor Wat & Temples so we decided to get up early to watch the Sunrise as everyone told us it is amazing. We decided to Hire Motorbikes for the Day to get around but when Shiela, Brad & Kirsten told me we had to get up at 4.30am (not after the heavy night - that would be ridiculous) I thought no-way & I would meet them later on but they eventually persuaded me.
So we got up at 4.30am in the pitch black & drove to Angkor Wat & it was a really cloudy day so I was really hacked off but it cleared later on & we got a few good pics so not so bad. Angkor Wat is the Largest Temple in the World & the 3 largest Peaks around the Central Temple are 86m high so it was pretty spectacular.
After that we visted many more Temples. Ta Prohm was where they filmed Indiana Jones / Two Brothers which also had roots from mature trees strangaling the stonework. We also visisted Angkor Thom which is the Ancient City of Angkor full of Terraces / Temples / visited many more but the one which stuck out for me was the Bayon Temple which has 216 different faces sculptured in the Stonework.
We stayed there for about 4 days then Brad was going back to Canada and I arranged to meet up with Tom, Bella and Josie in Ko Pangyang for mine and Toms Birthdays for the Full Moon Party.
I met Will from London and Jesse from Canada on the bus from Siam Reap to Bangkok so we had a good night out down Ko San Road in Bangkok and I bumped into Steve and Holly which I met whilst travelling on the SE Asia Loop. We all got the same Bus and Ferry down to Ko Pangyang the following day and a few people hoyed up every where due to the rocky sea, I slept haha.
