Saturday night brought us to "The Longest Bar in the World," which is actually a collection of numerous bars in an area called The Altstadt, which encompasses about five times as many bars as The Gaslamp in San Diego has, if you can believe that. Went to a variety if places, including two of the oldest breweries in the area to dive bars, just like in Anerica, to a bar consisting of Germans playing classic rock. Took a train to the historical and beautiful city of Aachen, Germany where we met with a good friend from my days in New York City, Carsta. She gave us a tour of the city where Charlemagne is buried, and took us to a wonderful old coffee for lunch. Absolutely stunningly beautiful day, 72 and not a cloud in the sky.

Absolutely perfect weather this morning in Amsterdam. Went to the Anne Frank house. Powerful and sobering museum, one not to be missed.
