Well, are you sitting comfortably, best beloved?! I'm in my own double room in the Greenmount Resort Hotel in Coolangatta, Qld. The site where it all happens (I'm a celeb, get me outta here) is in NSW. 6 days of the week, 0330 - 1400, I can be seen swinging through the palm trees of a sub-tropical rainforest, 4K HMI in hand, screaming "Look out! The Pommies are here to sort out all your lighting problems!". Then everyone points and claps! Well kinda! The undertakings on this project are quite miraculous(?)!! When the first production meeting took place, there MUST have been riotous laughter and disbelief! "OK, so we're gonna build 3ks of roads up and down this hill (points at cliff), then I want a fully equiped and rainproof studio up there (points at the top of 30ft tree). Then we'll have bridges between these trees, with a drawbridge at the end, leading to campsite, pool and fully equiped trials area!!!!!!" Anyway, tomorrow I shall be setting up lighting, in a previosly uninhabitable area of bush, for a scene where a german celeb gets lowered, in a perspex box, into a pond. He then has to unlock padlocks, get treasure (food), and escape!! He, he, he, hoo, hoo!! Last time we did this it was exhausting, but then again all the best things are!
