While Dan was having his terrifying,jungle adventure i had a day exploring the Mekong Delta with my guide,driver n 2 assistants for the day! I enjoyed chatting to the very friendly locals n had my own private boat for a cruise up the Delta . It was very peaceful n beautiful. We stopped off at a number of local businesses on the waterway. A brick factory (25p per day wages to make bricks all day!), coconut candy factory (£1 to peel 1800 coconuts per day!) n finally invited into a local families house for a delicious lunch of fresh prawns n Elephant fish. Walked through jungle to get on a Sampan (small boat) which took us back to main boat, passing fisherman n local houses on way..such s contrast to yesterday n saw a really beautiful side of Vietnam.

Anyway I had a great day here in Mekong but Dan has changed, not sure what happened out there!!!!
