Ended up drinking at what looked like a bar, but on closer inspection was actually a Shell garage forecourt with chairs and tables set out and a cocktail bar between the pumps! The bus to take us to the Poipet border crossing with Thailand was a tiny minibus. The road wasn't a road, it was a dirt track with pot holes the size of craters everywhere. (I'm not exaggerating!) Up at 6 for the bus, which didn't pick us up until 7.30 then took us to another bus, so we didn't leave Pnom Penh until after 8am. Heading north for Siem Reap and about two hours in we stopped.
