I think what I may miss most about South East Asia is the languages. In most places we've been we only hear the exotic and often melodic sounds of conversations we don't understand. Its quite liberating when you are free of the pressure of understanding. You can soak up the atmosphere without being tied to the monotony of everyday things.

They're like a cross between a communal taxi and a bus; they just stop when someone along the road flags them down so you have no idea how long your journey will take.
