So off to Noosa we went, and we ended up staying four nights in this beautiful town. Noosa is one of the richer towns on the east coast, filled with expensive properties and boats galore!! We stayed in Noosaville, a district next to the Noosa river, where our hostel was based. The first day it rained so we just mooched about the town....were starting to find that theres not an awful lot to do in OZ when the weather is bad, as most of the activities are based...

Surfers Paradise was like an English seaside resort (think of Great Yarmoth!) but on a MUCH bigger scale!!!. Two days was enough for us. Being on the Gold Coast however, the beaches were absolutely gorgeous, stretching for miles....its a shame that the rest of the town left much to be desired! Neon lights galore, stacks of greasy takeaways and tacky bars...catch my drift?!? It was a weird mix of very expensive high rise skyscrapers and tacky souvenir shops set o...

We headed to the 'Alternative' hippy town of Byron Bay for our second stop up the east coast of Australia....and we had an amazing time. The beach was beautiful, the people so friendly, a lovely relaxed, chilled out town. Needless to say we spent most of time sunbathing on the gorgeous beach and working on the tan (coming along nicely now!!). We did however pack in a few activities along the way. One evening we ventured up to the Byron Bay lighthouse perched...

After a VERY long flight from Chile, we finally arrived in Australia, but not after a few hitches. The original flight was delayed from Chile by four hours, so by the time we landed in New Zealand, we had missed our connecting flight to OZ!! But have no fear, we were put up for the night in Aucklands five star Crowne Plaza hotel on the 15th floor overlooking the city, all expenses paid and a lush meal in the restaurant! Not a bad deal we thought, and we just caug...
