We arrived in Xian after a 14 hour overnight train journey really tired and hassled as there were touts all over outside the station and to top it off it was pouring it down with rain!

We finally got to our hotel which was quite grotty but we didnt mind cos it was in a fantastic location!

We went to loads of different places in Xian, and walked everywhere! We saw the bell and drum towers, and the big goose pagoda, which to dans dissappointment didnt contain any geese!!!! at night at the big goose pagoda there was a light and fountain show to music which was really good.

We went on an organised tour to the Terracotta Warriors, which were only discovered in the 70's by a farmer digging a well!

It was Dans birthday while we were in Xian, so we had a full english breakfast in a top hotel, which was amazing after weeks of eating rice, and we had a full body massage in a different top hotel!
