Well hey guys, its been about a week since my last update so I'll try and keep things as brief as possible! After the best 2 1/2 weeks ever I finally managed to tear myself away from Byron and after an emotional goodbye I heading upto Surfers Paradise on Sunday. I travelled up with Soph (uni friend I bumped into in Byron) and her girls, aka the 'awesome foursome'. They were staying at the Cheers backpackers but I had been recommended a place called surf n sun so headed there. It was a quality hostel and met up with the sweedish guys, Dave and christian and a few other familiar faces from Byron. So within about 10 mins I felt as if I was home again!! On Monday myself and the girls hit the biggest waterpark in Oz, a place called Wet 'n Wild. The weather was great and we chose a good day to go as it was pretty empty so no competition for sunloungers and more importantly NO QUEUES!! So defo got our moneys worth and rinsed the rides sometimes going on one 3 times in a row!! It was an absolutely awesome day and we followed it up by hitting the town for some more Wild times!! Sadly the girls moved on on Tuesday but I hung around all week. Theres not actually that much to do in Surfers except party and shop! The weather also took a wrong turn and its been pretty miserable all week! I have been pleasantly surprised tho and thought the town was pretty nice with some awesome shopping stuff and nigthlife. So apart from the waterpark and one morning on the beach its basically been sleeping in til late and then chilling all day trying to shake off the hangover and be ready for the next night!! We've been partying like rock stars all week and have had some amazing nights with tons of funny stories to tell!! Im pretty lashed out now tho and looking forward to a break. I left surfers today and have just arrived in Brisbane. Im staying at a cool hostel called Tin Billys and got a good deal for the room so staying here for 4 nights (mainly so I can do the XXXX brewery tour on Monday!). Then heading upto Noosa on tuesday. So yeah, hopefully thats short and sweet enough for you. Oh, and before I sign off congrats to Pompey and Harry pulling them through! Hats off to Liverpool- what a game! and Stevie G, well, what a legend!! Lets hope he can carry that form into Germany. and unlucky Arsenal, "the referees a @#$@#!!!" I'll update soon on Brissie news.
