Today Wednesday 14th May we went to Cannes for the 1st day of it's 61st International Film Festival. It was a buzz with people, photographers, camera crews, corporate tents and vehicles, security and huge yachts in the harbour. We had a beautiful lunch right opposite the red carpet building and watched the action go by.

We tried hard to spot the celebraties but they were well guarded behind dark windowed cars. However, we did see a media scrum and lots of calls for Angeline Joli in the distant.

We finished a great day with a yummy French pastrie and saved soem for desert tonight.

Tomorrow we are up early and driving into Italy and to Milan where Kaye leaves Helen and Lynda and joins her husband Joe for a few days before she flies to the States for work.
