Recreation & Entertainment:
Hawaii is known for lounging around on paradise's beach, or hiking through the beautiful forests and being submerged in nature. There are countless hikes all over the island, beaches on every end to surf at, or layout a towel to bask in the sun. Hop on a glass-bottom boat to sail over our beautiful coral reefs, or take a trip on a sailboat to swim with the sharks. You can hike through the mountains and be surrounded by indigenous plants and birds later to be met by a waterfall, or maybe go to a lookout and spot out humpback whales while they migrate to the islands for the winter. Oahu is filled with many different monumental and culturally enriched places that are great for learning the history of the island and its people. Take a trip to the Arizona Memorial at Pearl Harbor, or down to Iolani palace to see where the past kings and queens of Hawaii used to live. Visit the Polynesian Culture center to spend the day experiencing the various cultures and traditions of the individual Polynesian islands, and stay late for the overall theatrical compilation of the cultures. For an extreme, blood rushing way to view the island, try skydiving, or ziplining.
