Lazing around the apartment until about 9.30am (Lauren has adapted to the local time, still snoozing at 8.30am), we headed off to meet the guys at "Paris Original Tours" for our Segway tour of Paris. This promised to be a bit of a giggle as everyone looks like a dork on a Segway, but they are great fun.
It is predicted to reach 37 degrees today, so hopefully we will be finished before it gets too hot!
Initially a little apprehensive, it didn't take Lauren long to get the feel of the machine, eventually pirouetting on the spot and the compulsory "Look Dad, no hands!" We think they are a more sensitive to her movements due to her weight, or lack thereof…
We enjoyed the next couple of hours weaving in and out of tourists around Paris back streets with informative and entertaining commentary from our guide, Valentine.
There is a lot of temporary fencing and structure being installed around Paris for the annual Fête de la Musique in Paris. Promises to be a mass of people in one spot, and as we are not "that" into French contemporary music, it's probably something we will avoid… We did have a quick visit to one venue after dinner before heading home.
The heat had certainly warmed up our little apartment and produced a very sweaty, mostly sleepless night. Lesson learned, always check for air conditioning before booking accommodation.

Leanne Well that certainly looks like a great way to see Paris. Lauren you look like a pro. Keep enjoying.
