Cesky has been amazing. It is like a village out of fairy tales, with castles, cobbled streets, beautiful rivers with waterfalls, and small little shops and restaurants. I met a group of Aussies from the busabout tour. They are a bit older than me all 25 and older. I will be spending the next few legs of the trip with them! It's nice because I am getting to experience travelling in a different way. We go out for nice dinners, have coffee and go out for a casual drink. One day we went on a rafting pub crawl. Unfortunately only one pub was open down the river but it was so much fun! We spent about six hours rafting down in the sun amongst the most beautiful scenery! It's nice to be able to spend time with people who enjoy this kind of thing. Instead of a bunch of young ignorant australians who came to Europe to get drunk and have "the best time they'll never remember".
Today we left the beautiful cesky krumlov heading for Vienna. We spent about four hours on the bus and past from the Czech republic into Austria, it was so strange going from one country to the next. We arrived at our hostel and it is like another luxury hotel! My room is amazing in particular. It's like an apartment with stairs, small balconys, my own bathroom, and a living area! Wow!! I have to stereotypical American geeks as my roommates, two guys named Edmond and Francis! They are great to talk to and so sweet.
Here is where we find all the rowdy travelers! The bar downstairs is full of them. I was going to head out as a night out is defiantly over due for me! But I have a few drinks with my new friends, talk to Jesse on Skype and then head to bed! We have a massive day planned for tomoro! We are going for a bike tour theouh the vineyards of Austria! Included is samples of wine and chocolate! I can't wait!
Missing home a lot today though. I lost my travel diary, a better word would be bible! This is where I keep all my pin codes, passwords, booking references, accommodation details, contact details, pretty much everything I need to survive over here is in that 'bible'. I have even said during the trip "loosing the diary would be the worst thing to loose". Anyway I left in cesky krumlov. I feel sick the whole way to vienna stressing that I may never get it back. When we arrive to Vienna one of my new friends calls the hostel, locates the diary and organises for the next busabout crew to bring it to me in Vienna! Thank god! all is well again, I feel instantly better and can enjoy this amazing room in the heart of Vienna of all places. I can't believe I'm in Vienna!
