Salzburg is a gorgeous little town in Austria. It's where the movie "the sound of music" was filmed, if you watch the movie you will see the streets I walked around and the country side I have spent the last few days in. On arrival my busabout family and I walked around the city doing the major sights! We then headed to a famous beer factory! They had turned it into a beer hall where you get your own beer mug and a token then go get it filled up with beer! There are lots of food stalls lining the hall, all containing lots of meat! There's cranky sausages, hit dogs, pork knuckles, meat loaf, snitzel; all the traditional austrian food. I had a cranky sausage which is a sausage which has chunks of cheese in it! It was so full on and fatty I will not eat one of them to my self ever again! We also had traditional Austrian desert I had a pastry full of a meringue like cream! It was delicious. After this we found a bar in a cave! We had some snaps which is popular in Austria and then headed home!

The next day I had to myself I went hiking and exploring the city! It was really nice and a long day! That night we all settled in to watch the sound of music! We had a lounge room full of backpackers playing drinking games and seeing along!

Today we left! It's raining and absolutely freezing! It's meant to rain here tomorrow!! it's a good day to be I the bus to Munich! I only have one night there but I'll be back to Munich in October for the famous Oktoberfest!
