Hot and humid here today. Took free trolley from pier which made a loop around the city. This city holds many precious memories for me, having visited here with my daughters. Went by Francis Macon Hotel and down the shopping area in King Avenue. Too hot to walk, even at 10:00 am. The suspension bridge and the church spires that dot the city landscape were spectacular when approaching from the sea. Got a great look at Fort Sumter in the harbor as we departed.
