We have previously visited Bar Harbor, a quaint & beautiful resort town. We have seen it in glorious sunshine and warm temps. Today was a very different weather story. Cool with misty rain and fog. The fancy mansions of the rich and politically connected still line the coastline. This trip we did not venture into beautiful Acadia Park, but strolled the streets among other tourists and townies. Sailed into New York under slight fog, but day unfolded into a beautiful warm climate inviting strolling the streets if New York. And that we did! Almost 15 miles logged on my Fitbit. We canned up to the Guggenheim Museum. (88 & Park Ave) After a nice visit there we walked down Park Avenue with Central Park on our right. Hot and humid here today. Took free trolley from pier which made a loop around the city. This city holds many precious memories for me, having visited here with my daughters. Went by Francis Macon Hotel and down the shopping area in King Avenue. Too hot to walk, even at 10:00 am. The suspension bridge and the church spires that dot the city landscape were spectacular when approaching from the sea. Got a great look at Fort Sumter in the harbor as we departed.

Late to port due to electrical malfunction. Drifted at sea for several hours until problem was fixed. Chose to stay on ship since we had visited the Space Center last summer.
