A lazy morning around the hotel this morning and then onto the Celebrity Summit early afternoon. A few drinks and then our room was ready. Now we are out walking the walled city of Old San Juan. Along the waterfront to El Morro Fort then into the cobblestones narrow streets. Lots of $ has been spent on building restoration and painting making them quite colourful and quaint but parts are a bit touristy (for the cruise ships obviously) but this is less obvious as you get further away from the piers. A walking day again this time in Greenwich Village. After getting tickets for The Book of Mormon musical tonight we caught the subway downtown and meandered around the streets. Lots of eclectic shops, cafes and coffee shops particularly in the narrow leafy side streets. Lunch at a little "beer bar" in Bleecker Street which had about 30 beers on tap from all over the world. Another walking day. Caught the subway to the top of Manhattan and walked for 3 hours through the streets of Harlem. Is it safe you say? - very much so and the people are very friendly and helpful and proud of their heritage and the Harlem District.
