The days plan was to leave the campers at Canal Creek and venture back down the Old Telegraph Track to visit Fruit Bat Falls, Elliot Falls and Twin Falls. After breaking camp this morning our first crossing was Cockatoo Creek. This had a very steep and rocky descent that needed guidance and once down at water level we all had to get out and act as markers for some rather large holes and some huge rocks. On the 27th we left Weipa at 9.00am. The big part of our adventure was about to begin, the start of the Old Telegraph Track. We stopped for photos at Wenlock River and Morton Telegraph Station. 25th July Headed out on the road around 8am after watching a beautiful sunrise. Travelled on to Coen, Archer River and finished up at Weipa where we booked in to stay for 2 nights.
