Arrived at the hotel in Buenos Aires about 12md. Checked in then went walking for about 4 hours.

Nearly every street we walked down had repairs being done on the road or footpath - dug up with barricades - or badly in need of repair. There were lots of beautiful old buildings closed up, and also in bad repair and dirty - appear to have been closed for a long time with shutters and grills covering the entrances. There was grafitti everywhere. Parks were unkept.

Some of the downtown streets were closed of for a car racing meet - apparently the first for 60 years.

On he way back to the hotel we had dinner at a local pizza joint.
