We stayed in Krabi town for one night after Lauras check up at the hospital and then decided to head off to Samui. Lois and James were going to come a couple of days later. The journey was hassle free and when we arrived in Samui there was a spectacular sunset... I was quite excited as i thought that we might actually get some good weather. I was so so so wrong! After a stupid mini bus ride where our driver didnt even know where he was going Laura and I hopped out... well, she struggled due to pain and I struggled as I was carrying her huge rucksack and my massive holdall! We found a little guesthouse to stay and it was pouring with rain. We had heard that the weather was terrible at the moment so we were praying that it'd be ok. It wasnt. Samui was a tourist trap, I imagine Benidorm or Tenerife being like it. Loud, tacky and full of big chains like Pizza Hut, McDonalds and various other outlets. We were not impressed and after 2 nights there we left. It hadnt stopped raining the whole time we were there and I didnt even get to see the beach. I was bitterly disappointed in Samui and dont think I'll ever go back... off to Koh Phangan in time for the full moon party! woo woo!
