Vientiane was stange. We finally found an ok place to stay and I shared a room with Crazy Stephanie and Nike. The place was packed as there was a festival to celebrate the end of the monsoon season. Vientiane was so French.. as a French colony you would expect it to be but I wouldnt believe how heavily influenced everything was. Vang Vieng... What a place! It was pouring with rain when we got there and the storm was out of control! After 2 days on the slow boat...slow being the operative word I finally arrived in Luang Prabang. Don't be fooled in thinking that this place would be like a poverty stricken hole of a place it is one of the most beautiful little places I have ever seen. It just oozes charm and character.
