Hi Joy.
Don't know if you're even going to see this but thought I'd post anyway . Off today to do my 1st airport run this week but the one I'm really looking forward to is Saturday when you're finally back . Guess I'd better clean this place up a bit. Hope you missed me as much as I missed you. Give J&M a big hug for me. See you soon. XXXX

Hi Guys,
I really enjoy watching your adventure; this technology is great! I'm going to PVEC to snap a pic of Crystal as it's prom night; Wed I'll go to her graduation and Thurs night is Brendon's grad which I'll also go to if they have enough room up at NQRHS....32 graduates this year; a record! Dan is sawing lumber for our new outbuilding at the camp. I'm helping out with wedding prep and loving it! Saw Nicki, your Mom, Lauren and Carter last week; I work with children every day and yet I was amazed at Lauren's ability to speak, initiate conversation and articulate her wording! Carter is absolutely beautiful and is all boy! So sweet; rarely made a peep. On July 8th we hope to get as many of the family togethere as we can at Grammie's house to paint the outside....expect we'll have a few laughs! Take care and we send our love.

Charlie, my **&$$! cat, just deleted my whole message by walking on the keyboard! And it was real important, too...I was talking about my ginger snap cookies, and wondering when you guys last got to have a cookie. See?! So important.
Congratulations on your new nephew!! That is great. Your family must be so excited.
My only news, in case you didn't get my email for some reason, is that we are FINALLY engaged! No plans until you get home, though!
Can't wait to see some pics of you guys!
Your Favourite Shauna
Just put some pics of Carter and Lauren up for you!! Don't cry too many tears even though I know they will be mostly of happiness. He's really beautiful and I know he can't wait to see you. Emily and Jason say hi and so does Madonna. Yup, it was an incredible experience at that concert. I have never screamed like that in my life!! We are going to see Carter and Lauren in 2 weeks (July 7-8th). Emily is PUMPED to see Lauren and asked if she can "pet" Carter. I suggested she give him a kiss instead. :) Off to New Germany on the motorcycle for Canada Day and to watch those impressive fireworks. LOVE YOU!!

Mom Selig
Lots of exciting news here! Unfortunately, all of your friends will hear the news before you two do! Nicole and Adam(Caley's sister) had a bouncing baby boy on June 6. Carter Adam Selig MacNeill came into the world at 11.36 p.m., weighing 8 pounds 2 and a quarter ounces. The due date was June 19, so we expect to hear from you guys soon for an update and what a surprise it will be.
Mom and baby are doing great-I was able to witness the delivery! What an experience! We had four babies and I never saw any of them actually born(in the "old" days they strapped your feet in stirrups and put your head back) so this was incredible.
Big sister Lauren (who will be 2 in July) is enamoured by the whole thing! She walked around all of the first day saying "It's a boy" (the word BOY is 2 syllables, of course). She'll have some adjusting to do but Nicki and Adam are such great parents, they will see that she remains a little baby for a while yet, for that is what she still is.
Thanks for all you are doing for the children and the communities you are in. I am sure you are enjoying having Joy with you-a touch of home, at least for a month.
Love you and miss you! Mom

Hey kids! It's Bruce's birthday and we're having a BBQ. Well, it was supposed to be a backyard BBQ but since it's been raining all day, it looks like we're going to have to move everybody inside. But Bruce has set up the patio umbrella next to the BBQ, so he's all set to keep the food going. We're borrowing your roller cooler thingy to keep the pop and beer cold because we ran out of room in the fridge. So, thanks! I gave him the golf clubs a couple of days ago, sort of a pre-birthday present. He was totally surprised and quite pleased. I kept them hidden in our closet the whole time, knowing he never ventures into the dark recesses, so he was none the wiser. He's been practising his swing indoors ever since. Too bad about the rain, or he'd be out there already. And as a last little bit of news, we're having a baby. Hee hee! The due date is December 25. What are the odds? So when next we see you, we'll be a family of three (or five, if you count the fur-kids). :)

Glad to hear that Joy arrived safely.
We missed her while I was in Winnipeg. I had a good time with Memiere, Fred, Inez and Erin. Lots of good food and laughs. Mom is well. She enjoyed the trip to Ste. Anne's. We met up with Donelda and that was fun as well.
Home now and have had Luke since I arrived. He sure keeps me busy. Dennis drove Fred home as his knee went out and could not take the bus. Wheels are in motion for Dennis to go to the Dr. with him to schedule an appointment for new replacement surgery. I told him I would stay when the time comes. Enjoy your time together. TERI

Michaela and Joel! Thanks for your descriptive updates--the benefits of a close up account minus the foul smells and snotty noses! I'm still in Toronto wrapping up my thesis. Well, that's a bit of an exaggeration: starting my thesis more like it! Hopefully it won't drag on too long. Michaela: I think I found a karaoke bar that rivals Bearley's in Hfx. The Gladstone in Toronto is a riot! There are countless characters, including the MC who has been running Karaoke night for 20+ years. He's a pro! The whole thing is ridiculous and, thus, highly entertaining. Talk to you soon, Ted.

Hi Joel and Michaela, I read all your posted notes, good thing you have friends who write to keep you in touch with home. Sounds like life is as big an adventure as you were hoping for. I'm doing lots of cycling, thinking about that wine tour for next summer. karl comes back from two months in Bolivia next week. he has had abig adventure as well and has written about it. Take care of yourselves, God is watching over you both. Love always, miriam

I loved reading about your journey. Your writing is so vivid! I'm printing off a copy and reading it to my class this afternoon. It's so nice to hear how you're doing...even though you're far away, I feel very connected when I read your stories. I can't wait to hear more. Your two are amazing. XO
