Hi Auntie and Uncle;
Can't wait to see you; as you can see in the photo album, we are having a great summer! We went on vacation to Lunenburg and had a really fun time. We're both getting so big...well, ok, not me, Lauren, so much. I'm just 23 pounds, now, and Carter is already approaching 15 pounds! I just wanted to say that I LOVE all of the pictures; Mommy won't let me touch her laptop , but she will at least let me look at the pictures. She says I'm too little; she says that a lot these days! Did you see me out the top of the sunroof in Daddy's new car? That's my fave thing to do...play in the car. Everyone keeps using the word 'unsafe' when I'm playing around with the buttons...I'm not sure what that means, yet...I'm too little. So, I just wanted to say 'I love you' and 'I miss you' and I'm filling Carter in on all of the great things about you both. Well, call soon and we can chat.
Take care. Love, Lauren.

Wow! Great pics! I've been looking forward to them. I was really excited about seeing a half-eaten buffalo!?! LOL Actually I was dying to see the kitty pictures. I wanna pet the kitties too! :P

Hi Guys,

It is now Aug 23rd, and a new moon, where you are, so Happy Anniversary!!! You know the tune so sing it to each other.
My new job is looking better every day...I am so excited about getting this program to the kids who will need it and use it. Had some hodge podge for supper yesterday, some good you! Tday had a rae kei(sp) session with a friend. Very interesting and relaxing. I aim to find out more abt the art! i am looking forward to camping this weekend with Shauna and Angie and the rest of the crew. Adam Webber and friends are going to be in he Park also. We will try and hook up for campfires, at least! But we will keep the noise down. Do you miss us yet!!! Hopefully, next year you will be with us, with some of your friends! Read more in emails.
Continue your fantastic trip and be sand surfing wise.
Love,

Hi guys! Can't wait to hear about your stop in Namibia! I'm glad we got to chat last week Cale...phone cards rock!! Nicki, Adam, Carter and Lauren just left this morning for back to Saint John - they've been in NS since last Thursday as Adam's on vacation, and, well, Nicki's life is a permanent vacation. Just joking Nick :) Carter is smiling (sometimes due to gas) and cooing lots now, he's got the best little lips and is just as cuddly as ever. He told me he cant wait to meet you guys when you come home! Lauren is getting busier by the day - she slept with me the past two nights....I think she slept better than I did as I was paranoid the entire night that she'd fall out of bed. Nicki reminded me that it's not that far of a fall. Guess I'm just being the over-protective aunt! A whole bunch of us are headed to Keji for the long weekend, should be fun. Remember the camping trip to Sioux Narrows and how much we jammed into the hatchback? Good memories for sure. Thanks for keeping us abreast of your cool experiences. Everything is great here...take care you guys. PS Happy Anniversary tomorrow :)))
Laura
Sarah told me yesterday that you got to ride an ostrich. Somehow, it didn't seem odd that you would get to do that...definately hope you got photos of that experience!! That's one that will be on my wall forever. Pretty cool stuff!
Can't wait to hear more!

More Scooter news - yesterday's score went something like this:
Scooter: 2
mole: zip
finch: zip
time elapsed: 10 minutes
window: now closed until we can find a bell for his collar
Good times. He's a super kitty. He brings presents to his temporary owners. Too bad we don't eat moles and finches.
We're jealous of your adventuring, and can't wait to see pictures!

Finally my computer is up and running. I had 2 challenges when we arrived home. I had blood poisoning in my leg (our family Dr. reminded me how many people die of that) and had to go to the hospital. My computer crashed and I lost all including my latest book. To boot, my backup failed. But all is well now. The computeris repaired. My book is back. (I had a hard copy.) My leg is healed. We're busy grandparenting, seeing family/friends and going back to the gym to try to find the bodies we left behind before we took off for SA.
We love your updates and are living vicariously through your travels. We're here in Dana Point (where it is sunny and cool) and will stay until Ocober 12 when we take off for our annual pilgrimage to France. We'll be there until November 4. Pax

Wow! You lucky *****! You got to pet bitty bitty lions! No fair! They must've been sooooooooo cute. I bet it would've been amazing riding an ostrich. That sounds hilarious! Can't wait to see pics of that! Let us know how the cheetah petting goes.
