I am loving your pictures and update, and am living vicariously through you! I actually just got your postcard very recently as I had moved and not picked up my dribs and drabs of mail for months. I loved it...thank you both.
I'm still in Vancouver (I have no idea how these things happen but they just do) but it's been a great year so far. I have my own class--all grade 8s! I plan on competing with the two of you for the Nobel Peace Prize if I hold it together till Xmas! All joking aside though I have a sweet group of kids. Paco is now living in Ecuador working through UBC and CIDA; as far as I know he's doing well.
I'm hoping beyond hope that I'll be seeing you two on the east coast this summer. For now, happy travels!
XO Carly

That sure was alot of napkins. But great to see nonetheless, because it meant you were among friends and good food. Great pics from everywhere, Eric is so jealous of any castles you get to see. Things are busy here, some weeks too busy, actually. Can't wait to hear more...you've inspired us to look into Oktoberfest in Waterloo for our "honeymoon" next year. It's not Germany, but I hear it's close to the real thing, and we'll have fun, especially if you guys can join us!

Hello from Halifax!
Just a quick note to let you know that I'm still following your travels despite being absent from your board! I've said farewell to Kaila, Jonas, and the Toronto elephant house and am back home looking for work and planning weddings. Wait! Let me finish-- my sister got married on thanksgiving so I was busy:)) You've missed a beautiful Nova Scotia fall but your adventures on the old continent will surely make up for it. Looking forward to more postings!!
Ted.

Michaela and Joel,
I just returned from Greece and can't believe I missed you guys when you were in Salzburg! How long are you gonna stay in Munich? During the next four weeks I have my final M.A. exams, but maybe there is still a chance to meet up. Maybe I could come to Munich, even if it's only for a day (it is a about a five hours train ride from Vienna).
Enjoy Europe and let me know your plans!
Kisses and hugs! Karin

Hey,
glad to see you're enjoying your trip so far. I see your in Salzburg so let me empart a few things to you if you get a chance to read this. There's an internet cafe across the street from the main train/bus station. Buy a Salzburg pass at the train station, it's the best investment I made there. Gets you into almost every tourist spot for free or at a very reduced rate.
Mozarts house is neat, block off 40 minutes or so, so you can watch the video. The fortress is also worth the cable ride up; walking down however ? quite steep. The 'Dom' is most impressive and there's great food and cheap art to be had in the courtyard surrounding it. The royal gardens are neat and always packed with people, the art galleries are also amazing. I sayed about 15 minutes our of town that had a wondrful view at a hostel in a woman house. Some things are worth skipping, so choose well. :) Also there's an Orientail restaurant near the train station with decent food and stores selling good fruit.
Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

Hi Caley and Joel,
Great pics of sand in Namibia! Glad to hear that you will be meeting with friends from home. Things here are going quickly and Christmas is only 91 days away...this being Monday! Take care and send an email when you get a chance! Love you both and looking forward to see you!

Wow. A message from Diane Bigras. Don't think I was expecting to see that! Anyway, just wanted to say that my mom and my sister-in-law loved your kitty pictures. I had a chance to show them both the pictures on the weekend. Oh by the way, they had fun interpreting the "Do not go down this hill in a wheelchair or you might get eaten by a croc" sign. Very amusing. Can't wait to see more pics!
