Today we started our city tour by seeing the Little Mermaid, a Copenhagen icon. This small life sized bronze statue made in 1913 by Edvard Eriksen, depicts a mermaid from the fairy tale of the same name by Hans Christian Andersen. Our first day in Denmark, we were met at the airport and driven by limo to the beautiful and modern Tivoli Hotel and Congress Center.
