The Dithering Travel Diary
Today we had many "I can see Sweden from my bus" moments as we traveled north of Copenhagen to Zealand. We visited the home of Karen Blixen (Out of Africa), saw the changing of the guard at Queen Margaret II summer home, ate open face egg and shrimp sandwiches on dark rye bread, sipped Gammel Dansk (a Danish liqueur favored with 29 herbs, spices, and flowers, which would make cough medicine taste good), walked the cobblestone streets in many small villages and saw homes from 1500 and 1600 hundreds, and saw Kronborg Castle the inspiration for Elsinore in Hamlet. This evening we met a delightful couple from Scotland who told Keith he had a brilliant lifeline.
