Wow the whitsundays! We decided to go all out and go on a 2day yacht journey round the whitsunday islands. I think it was all of our first times sleeping on a yacht and was a brill experience. The weather the saturday was first class and we all caught a bit too much sun but thanks to the stinger suits which we had to wear snorkling the results wernt too bad. Snorkling was brilliant-really was like putting your head in a fish bowl! The coral is beautiful and its nuts to think its alive. Went to whitehaven beach pictured above which was stunning and had a swim there too. That night a few of us found bugs in our beds so after the surfers paradise experience we decided to sleep on the deck under a tapaulin-another great experience! Shame it was too ckloudy for the stars by then tho. 2nd day was mostly rain but we tried out the snorkling again and then headed back to the harbour at airlie beach with our newly made friends from denmark and manchester for a yummy mexican meal and to an irish pub till our greyhound arrived at 2am! Was a killer weekend but well worth it xxxx
