NOT quite in Quito yet, give me two more days. Right now am in Bellingham Washington with some friends from school, packing two days early. On my flight down from Alaska to here, my two days of packing rapidly turned into 30 minutes, in which my dad and myself threw anything and everything (except the bike) into the big green duffel bag before running to the plane. Everything made it OK, but at that point I still had only ridden the bike for a grand total of 8 minutes.
Arriving in Bellingham I stayed up all night the next day finially getting all the finishing touches on the bike... well most of them. It was rolling, in any case, and I took it to Kulshan Cycles, and awesome shop here in town for them to fix all the mistake I probably made. While they were doing that a friend and I zipped down to Portland to see my girlfriend and my sisters, and then through Seattle to see friends. Back here in Bellingham I finally got the bike from the shop, rode it around for a bit before beginning to pack for the REAL trip coming very soon.
SO, the grand total amount of time IU have spent on the bike so far is 20 minutes. Procrastinate much. nSome might say so, but if I am going to be on this thing every day for 10 months, I will have plenty of time to get aquainted.
Allrighty, unless things go very wrong, the next entry should really be from Ecuador. Goodnight!
