Arrived safely back in Australia on Sunday morning (24/8/08) & after spending the night in Newcastle with Ben, Brodie & Chad, returned to Scone this morning (Monday 25/8/08). Today we decided to have a casual day - we have done so much in the little time we have been here. We caught the streetcar to Fisherman's Wharf to see if there were any spare seats on the cruises to Alcatraz (They are booked out until Monday 25th). After walking across & back on the bridge we caught another bus to Ocean Beach which overlooks the Pacific Ocean. We then caught No. 18 bus the the Palace of the Legion of Honor Museum. Got bus directions this morning to go to the Golden Gate Bridge. Very foggy, but it's foggy everyday. Took warmer clothes with us because it looked like rain. Had breakfast at Carl Jrs. (sorry Karen), then had to catch 2 buses. When we started walking on the bridge it actually wasn't too bad. Today is Wednesday, & our first day to test our skills at using the public transport here in San Francisco. Just finished breakfast & come across free internet at the local library, so will try & keep you updated before we leave. Off to see the San Francisco Railway Museum then Fisherman's Wharf.
