Lots of history on this house. It is was built as a summer villa in 1765 & also used by George Washington during the revolution as military headquarters.

Went to Harlem today to look at the oldest house in Manhatten, which is open to the public. I am fascinated with the architecture of all the different areas of New York and have taken lots of photos most of which I will have to download when I have more time.

Notice the waterfall behind the barge - these are man-made structures of scaffolding with water flowing from the top.
