Our "tour guide" dozed off on the train, but because we have been on so many, we knew which stop to get off. Karen, being a true "New Yorker" woke up at the right moment when it was our stop. (Lots of people fall to sleep & suddenly wake up).

Next stop was the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Spectacular building - it would take you a couple weeks to see everything. Each room led to another room - like a big maze, but there are guides & maps to help you. We visited the Egyptian section, the Armoury section, walked past losts of statues & this one caught our eye. Rick & I viewed the Van Gough's & had our photos taken (you can take photos without a flash - will download these later).

After Harlem we got back on the subway (we have been on heaps - they even have two levels of train tracks - yes, one level on top of the other!!) & headed to Central Park. This is a beautiful asset to the city of New York, it is huge and has so many areas for people to enjoy (more about Central Park later). We visited "Strawberry Fields", a mosiac & tribute to John Lennon. Saw statue of "Alice in Wonderland" dedicated to Lew Carroll. ...

Apartments in Harlem - not sure of age, but a contrast with the oldest in the area. Notice the fire excapes outside the building. I keep thinking I am on a movie set because everything we see is just like the TV shows / movies we get from America.
