Venice again! Luckily this morning it only rained a little bit! I was so happy, except it was still quite cold. I decided it would be a good idea to wear 2 singlets, 2 shirts and 2 pairs of pants. Turns out I am a genius and I didn't feel as cold! Today Venice looked so much prettier as it was sunny and I took so many more photos! The first thing we did was go to San Marco's cathedral. It was absolutely incredible!!!! The ceilings were made out of gold mosaics and it was amazing. We weren't allowed to take photos but I did anyway oooops. After that we wandered around the main island and saw lots more beautiful Venetian glass shops and mask shops. As the islands of Venice are about sea level, they have lots of ramps for people to walk on so they don't get their shoes wet. In the morning when it was raining in San Marco's piazza the water level wasn't that high, but at the end of the day somehow their was lots more water in the piazza (it stopped raining at 11 and the water was very high at 3... What). It was very easy to spot tourists in Venice. They were either a) wearing raincoats that say I ❤️ Venice on it (bonus points for the bright blue or orange plastic rain shoes) or b) extremely loud and most of the time American or Asian. I think Venice is so amazingly beautiful and I would love to go back (hint hint mum and dad lets go to Venice on a holiday)
