Today was the first day of school where I could enter late! I had a nice sleep in and I saw Sara and got to say 'buon compleanno!' After school we had a short lunch and then caught the train into Milano Centrale to get a train to Venice!! It was dark when we arrived in Venice so I haven't taken any photos yet. The air is so fresh and beach like I love it so far!! When we got to the hotel it was very intimidating as we are staying in a hotel that the military use. They had to take id and only speak to you from behind a glass wall. The rooms are very beautiful though!! There is a notice about dress codes for meal times though... Lunch and dinner are coat and tie but breakfast is more relaxed. BUT, no jeans or joggers at any time. I am wearing my very ripped jeans and Sara only brought a pair of nice joggers (luckily I brought another pair of pants. I was so close to only bringing one!!) so breakfast tomorrow will be very interesting. We went for a walk and had dinner in a restaurant. I ordered pasta with squid ink so the pasta is black!
