i have arrived in singapore... only a 4 hour plane trip from darwin... i was pleasantly surprised, i was expecting and 8 hour trip. hopefully this doesn't mean that my flight to london will be longer than 12 hours!! well, i had my teary farewell to australia and my good friends. i hadn't felt homesick while i was away in london, but coming back it made me realise how much i do miss australia and especially my good friends. it was also hard because although my family were kind of close, i hadn't planned to fly to tassie to see them. the wedding and all the plans leading up to it went great and i loved every minute of it. i didn't get much sleep initially which all the travel, catching up and collecting people from the airport (most flights arrive into darwin at about 1am in the morning!). we also had time for BBQ's, dinner out, breakfast at the casino (on the morning of the wedding) swimming at the water holes and generally having fun, in between dress fittings, hens night, wedding rehearsals and make-up trials. the wedding day certainly had it's share of "hiccups" but the bride coped extremely well. tomorrow i'm thinking of having a look around santosa island and then at midnight it's back to London!!! i arrive early wednesday morning and start back at work the next day. bye for now!
