This update comes from Madrid. Em and arrived 2 nights ago. It was a quick flight from Lisbon, only about 50 minutes, but with all the hoohaa it always is getting to airports in loads of time and waiting to collect baggage it felt like it took us all day. Anyway, we were most pleased with Veuling airlines (Spanish airlines). They were cheap and way better than Ryan Air & Easy Jet. Managed to catch the metro (underground service) to our hostel. nice and easy ...

Well, we've arrived in another city. quite run down, not quite perhaps what i was expecting. we had a 4 hour bus journey yesterday from Lagos to Lisbon. Getting a bit over the bus travel now. we found our way once again to our accommodation, with a nice bit of help from a local which was very nice. they speak a little more english here in Lisbon. we checked in and usual there was a sign saying we couldn't pay by credit card! the woman barely spoke any english...

Hi everyone! Em & I are currently in Lagos, a town on the coast, south of Portugal. And it is just as good as the pics show! Finally we've reached a decent beach... so we spent a good part of yesterday swimming and lying on the beach. We can't believe how many aussies there are here! so we feel right at home. we arrived late into Lagos (bout 11pm) after a 6 hour bus trip from Seville. Our accommodation was a hostel, full of aussies looking to party all night...

Buongiorno! well i finally visited Italy and it was Bellissimo! (brilliant, basically). i was very jealous cause Mum, Dad and Em took off to Italy for a whole week without me and then i joined them for the 2nd week, as i had a week off work. i joined them for the best bit on the Amalfi Coast. it was an amazing coast line; with houses dotted up the steep banks, windy narrow roads, pebbly beaches and lemons growing everywhere.
