We were picked up about 10am for our Fraser Island tour from Mooloolaba by a monster of a truck (see pictures!). After driving for a couple of hours we arrived at Rainbow Beach where we had lunch and then got the ferry over to the island. Those of you who have been will know there are no roads on the island and that the only mode of transport to get around is 4x4 driving along the beach, so our monster was more than sufficient!!! We arrived in Brisbane at around 8am and spent the morning in the Bus Station waiting for a bus to take us slightly north to the Sunshine Coast to see Rach (my old uni housemate for those who don't know!) and her boyfriend Jonny in Mooloolaba. Hello everyone! Sorry for the lack of blog writing in Australia so far! We have non-stop a-go-go trying to fit things in around the weather since we have arrived! Our trip from KL to Singapore was possibly the best ever!!!!! Scrap what I said about the nice mini-bus from Penang to the Cameron Highlands! We turned up at the bus station and went down to the platforms and waited for a while as we were early. When the bus turned up we loaded our stuff and got on. I literally could not believe my eyes - full on lounging arm chairs which massaged!!! yes...when the driver was coming through checking tickets he pressed a button...

We left the Cameron Highlands on the 8am bus which actually did run and wasn't running too late!!! We passed some amazing scenery and the tea plantations literally looked like a green carpet. The journey didn't take long at all - again I slept a lot of it!!!
