After my thirteen hour journey to Seattle it was the biggest relief arriving at my Hostel. The guy in reception was running me through the rules he then told me there was smoking room and because cannabis is legal in Washington everyone was smoking it in there as well, I couldn't believe it, not that it made any difference to me I was just a bit shocked. Whilst I was checking in there was a tour leaving the Hostel in the morning called The Dead Guy Tour. It was a tour to Bruce and Brandon Lee's grave, Kurt Cobain's house and Jimmy Hendrix's memorial. I decided to sign up. When I got to my room no one was there and I didn't see anyone in the common area but to be fair I wasn't in the mood for making small talk that night I just wanted to chill. I got into my bed and chilled watching The Vampire Diaries, which I know I shouldn't waste my time watching TV but I just had to relax. Before I did I booked my car for the drive from Seattle to San Francisco. I booked a convertible Mustang or the equivalent. The best thing about the bunks were they had curtains for privacy. I did start chatting to one of the girls but she was there for a conference so she had to go straight out to prepare, which I was quite happy about not in a rude way, she was really nice.
I woke up early so I had time for breakfast and to go on The Dead Guys Tour. Whilst at breakfast I recognised a girl that I got talking to at the HI Hostel in Vancouver, not the one I was staying at the one where I had to go and cook my dinner. She said that it was a random trip to Seattle, it's such a small world. On the tour our guide was called Sasha he was really nice and a bit crazy, in a good way. It was unreal to visit the grave of Bruce and Brandon, Kurt Cobain's house and Jimmy Hemdrix's memorial. These people were some of the greats! On the way to Jimmy's memorial Sasha said he wanted to take us to his old work which was a car lot but not just any car lot they sold classics as well as new such as Camaro's, Mustang's and Lotus'. When I saw the Camaro all I could think was I wanted to hire that car! I even took a picture and sent it Gemma joking that I hired it. She asked me how much it was and I told her $45000, she said what the hell you could buy a new one for that. She thought I had hired it for that much I said no I haven't hired it that's how much that one was to buy, what a div haha. Whilst we was on The Dead Guys Tour Sasha also took us to an all you can eat Indian and because we have some of the best Indian restaurants in the UK or as everyone kept telling me. Apparently England is known for having really good Indian restaurants. Anyway it was actually delicious and because it was all you could eat I wanted my money's worth. I had one portion and was so full I could not eat another bite, I think because I hadn't been eating as much as what I used to (due to money) I was very disappointed in myself. On the way back Sasha asked if we wanted to go to a thrift shop I didn't know what one was but ok I'm up for trying new things. Erm no I'm, not It was all second hand and a jumble sale it was like my idea of hell. I felt sick, dirty and just wanted to leave. When we got back I got saw the guys that I was chatting with in the morning and they went to the EMP (Experience Music Project) and the unground Seattle tour. This was a tour that took you underneath Seattle and there was a whole other city underneath that had been burnt down because of a fire or something and they built the Seattle that we know on top. They didn't end up going on that tour because one of the girls had fallen down some steps and cut her hand open so they ended up at the hospital. We all had dinner with some of the others that were on the tour with me. I still was not hungry from the Indian but again it was free I had to have something! Whist I was talking to the guys about the rest if their day they also said they only had an hour in the EMP museum and were going back in the morning and asked I wanted to go? I said that I probably would tag along.
When I got up I saw Matt and Taya (the girl that cut her hand) at breakfast and they invited me again but the other girls (whom I recognised from the Hostel Sinead and Rebecca) weren't going. We went to EMP museum it was amazing! So much music history. There was a floor where you could learn to play the drums, guitar, keyboard and lean to DJ. There was another room were it simulated that you was in The Game of Thrones you had to put a helmet on that had goggles attached and then put headphones on it was surreal experience. They also had a games room I spent ages on one game that I ended up downloading onto my phone. Taya had to leave to get her coach back to Vancouver. As we were leaving I said to Matt that I wanted to pop into China Town to get stuff for stir fry, he said he'd come with me and we'd share the cost and share the food. When we got back from to Hostel Sinead was there and I decided I was craving hummus and pitta so we went on a hunt. Once we found it Matt and I decided we wanted to have a drink that night. Well trying to find somewhere that sold strongbow was a mission. I said that the shop next door to us (target) sold alcohol, Matt and Sinead were sure they didn't. Sinead couldn't be bothered to go any further than what we had so made her way back the Hostel. Matt and I walked for about another half an hour before we gave up made our way back to Hostel and just stopped in a seven eleven. Sinead and I ate the hummus and pitta. Then I saw the guys that were on the tour with me from the day before and I told them about our alcohol adventure and they said why didn't you go next door to target? Well the look I gave Matt, if looks could kill? I said target? target? Matt and Sinead just said we didn't think they did haha. Well Matt and I had finished our ciders from seven eleven and we decided we needed a top up. We went to target and bought the exact same ciders and cheaper I was cursing them two but hay oh it was funny! We saw one of the guys leave the smoking room and then a bit later return with the biggest pizza I have ever seen it was the size of a table. We all got pretty drunk that night and had all signed up for the tour around pikes market in the morning. I took myself off to bed about one am.
I woke up that morning with a pretty heavy head and feeling quite sick nothing a shower and a bit of breakfast won't sort out. When I got to the common room I saw Matt looking quite worse for ware. He said he was the only one up and was going to drag everyone out of bed if they weren't up for the tour that we had all signed up for. We were all up and looking as rough as the next. We went on the tour and saw the first ever Starbucks, the famous fish throwers and the rest of the market where we got a few different food tasters. It was really interesting how it all started and how the traditions are still carried out to this day. When it was finished we made our way back to the Hostel. The girls went back to EMP museum with two guys that we met the night before from Canada (Emerson and Dillon). I sat with Matt till he had to leave to get his bus to Vancouver. Once he left I went back to my room for a nap until the girls got back from the museum, I was going to cook the food that we got the day before. Due to us all getting drunk we didn't want the stir fry. After eating I wanted to go back to bed because I wanted a good nights sleep, I was picking the car up in the the morning and wanted to be super fresh, as I'm not used to driving on the other side of the road or the other side of the car. I got up early to get breakfast and ready to get to the airport for ten am. I said bye to the girls and made my way to the airport. I was so excited about picking this Mustang up, well I had everything crossed that it would be a Mustang! I arrived at the airport and went to go and find my baby for next five days. I got to the checkout and they said yep we have a Mustang, YES! Then they said oh hang on we've actually got a Camaro 2015 plate er excuse me, a Camaro?? I couldn't believe it this was the car that I saw in garage and that I wanted to hire they had one! Hell yes I'll take the Camaro, obviously I was more polite than that but that's what was going through my head! I walked down to the lot and saw it. I had the biggest smile plastered on my face and a couple that were in the lift with me saw what I hired and went oh nice a Camaro good choice. I couldn't wait to get in it a get going!
