Rio is AMAZING!!! I've been here for 2 weeks now but i could honestly stay for another few weeks and not get bored.

Done so much since i've been here - too much to remember / write about! Basically:

- Carnival - pure craziness for 5 days, street parties, samba parades, many capirinahs (the local cocktail), not much sleep!

- Sugar Loaf Mountain - amazing views of the whole city - beaches, mountains, high rise buildings and shanty towns all in one place

- Christ Redeemer statue - not that impressive but was majorly hot and hungover that day...

- Tour of favelas (shanty towns) - really interesting

- Football match - was 2 rio teams playing (vasco de gama and fluminense) and the score was 4-4 - what more can i say?!? Pretty exciting! The fans are crazy too.

- Copacabana and Ipanema beaches - beautiful but mucho people, esp at this time of year.

Thats pretty much it i think, along with a lot of dancing and clubbing and drinking and partying! Oh yeah, we had a Samba dance lesson as well - very tiring but fun! We are about to get an overnight bus to the next town. Very sad to be leaving Rio :-( But spent so much money here i think it's time to go.....
