Staying in Wake Up! Tis a great hostel- thank you clare r for recommending! Spent yesterday wondering around getting a feel for the place. Sydney is great so much happening i can see why people emigrate out here! Went up Pylon Lookout cos didnt want to do the bridge climb and then got a ferry ride around the harbour at dusk. It was gorgeous clear blue skies! So glad i did it yesterday cos the weather today has been rubbish rainy and dull! Today went to Paddys markets and up to Darling harbour (very nice). Went around a great museum for free at the Rocks - so taken on alot of historical info avoiding the rain! I then wondered across to the opera house for a tour. Had a naughty hot chocolate at circular quay before that. The tour was really good. The auditoriums are amazing in design and materials used. So was wowed by that. Then had dinner at a restaurant down the road with my room mate louise. Have also met some old netballing buddies from home! Its a small world! Off to Manley tomorrow weather permitting if not its the Aquarium - the closest i will get to the great barrier reef!
